BATMAN ARKHAM SPIELE

Over the years, the Batman franchise has extended beyond comic books and television, ultimately conquering the realms of film and video games. The exploits of the Caped Crusader have been adapted several times throughout the years, each one original and for a particular purpose.

Batman video games aren't afraid to go deeper and darker with their concepts and stories, making the most of the medium's strengths. The Dark Knight has appeared in several games as both the main character and a supporting character over the years. Although not all of them earned critical praise, Batman continues to entertain his millions of followers with new adventures. In this article, we have included the batman games Xbox 360, Xbox S/X, PS4, versions.

Let us now look at the best batman games you can play right now. This article is in no order.

BATMAN GAMES PS4, XBOX:

#1 BATMAN: ARKHAM ORIGINS

Origins are set eight years before Arkham Asylum and follow a less-seasoned Batman as he battles a slew of foes after Black Mask places a bounty on his head. The game emphasises Batman's stealth and investigative acumen, as well as the opportunity to re-enact crimes.

Critics have given the game mixed to favourable reviews. The PlayStation 3 version is the only one having a Metacritic score of "Generally favourable reviews." It earned a lot of acclaim for its difficult boss encounters, but it also received a lot of criticism for its familiarity and lack of originality in gameplay, making this one of the best batman games.

#2 BATMAN ARKHAM ORIGINS BLACKGATE

Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate is another game in the Dark Knight's library that you may not be familiar with. No, not Batman: Arkham Origins (more on that later), but a 2.5-dimensional Metroidvania set in the same universe. This game was released with Arkham Origins, however, it was originally intended for portable devices like the PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS.

Blackgate takes set after the events of Origins and does a decent job of adapting the renowned Arkham combat into a 2.5D format. Again, this game isn't spectacular, but it's a decent addition to the Batman franchise, particularly for lovers of Metroid and Castlevania.

#3 LEGO BATMAN 2: DC SUPERHEROES

Many of the Batman games on this list are rated T by the ESRB, indicating that they are intended for older audiences. While such games are fantastic, it's always good to have something that the entire family can enjoy, which is exactly what Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes provides. This game takes things a step farther than the original, with characters from the Batman series as well as other DC Comics heroes. Lego Batman 2 is significant for being the first Lego game to have a fully spoken cast with speech, as opposed to the gibberish found in previous instalments. With an expansive environment and two-player co-op, it's ideal for the whole family.

#4 BATMAN ARKHAM VR

Batman: Arkham VR is one of the top batman games. Between Arkham City and Arkham Knight, Arkham VR takes place. It follows Batman as he investigates the disappearance of Nightwing and Robin, his companions. Virtual reality headsets are used in the game to allow players to explore Gotham through Batman's perspective.

Critics had varied feelings about Arkham VR. The virtual reality gimmick split critics, with some hailing it as a significant step forward for the brand and others dismissing it as needless and pompous, making it one of the best batman games ever.

#5 BATMAN: RETURN TO ARKHAM

The 2016 collection Return to Arkham features remastered versions of both Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. It includes every previously published DLC for both games, as well as enhanced visuals and landscapes.

Critics gave Return to Arkham a mixed response. Reviewers were split on the visuals and lighting effects, while many praised the improvements in shading and texture. The game's 30 frames per second frame rate were also panned.

#6 BATMAN: THE ENEMY WITHIN

Batman: The Enemy Within is an episodic game that is a sequel to Batman: The Telltale Series. The narrative follows Bruce Wayne as he infiltrates an organisation of supervillains known as "The Pact," and the plot provides equal weight to both characters.

The plot and action portions of the game were praised. The first four chapters got mixed to good reviews, while the final one gained widespread praise, boosting the game's total score significantly. The decision to keep the Joker from turning evil was very warmly praised and was also one of the main reasons for making this one of the best batman games ever.

#7 LEGO BATMAN: THE VIDEO GAME

Though it may not be one of the best batman games ever, it is really fun to play. The game depicts Batman and Robin facing their rogue's gallery, which is divided into three groups of five in this inaugural instalment of the Lego Batman series. Each gang has its strategy and commander, and so has its plot.

The game's comedy, voice cast, and homage to the original 1960s television programme were praised by critics, who also loved the game's humour, voice cast, and a throwback to the original 1960s television show. They were, however, perplexed by the plot's relative safety and the game's failure to accomplish more with its novel idea.

#8 BATMAN: ARKHAM KNIGHT

Arkham Knight is the least popular of the three mainstream Rocksteady-developed Batman games, but that doesn't mean it's bad. In reality, it accomplishes several things better than the previous instalments, including containing some of the series' greatest narrative moments.

It features several Bat-family members, including Robin, Nightwing, Barbara Gordon, and Alfred, while delivering a high-stakes narrative. We were particularly impressed by the number of outfits available in this game, which added diversity to both the main plot and the challenge missions. These aren’t the only things that make this one of the best batman games ever.

Other than the out-of-place Bat-tank fights, this game gets a lot right and is crucial to the overall storey. All these features force Arkham Knight to be on the list of best batman games ever produced.

#9 BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY

This is one of the best batman games ever, here’s why: When it comes to which Batman game is the best, the discussion typically boils down to Arkham Asylum vs. Arkham City. And it's a difficult decision because they're both excellent. Between the two, Batman: Arkham City is our second choice, but it's still a fantastic game.

It has a vast open environment that you may freely roam to complete side missions, locate treasures, and take in the sights and sounds of Gotham. Many of the elements from the previous game were improved upon in Arkham City, while also paying respect to the character's long history.

It's simple to see why so many people love Batman: Arkham City, and while it's not our favourite, it's a fantastic experience from beginning to end, and it was acclaimed by a lot of gamers as the best batman game Xbox One.

#10 BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM

That leaves Batman: Arkham Asylum, a game that broke expectations in terms of how it treated the character of Batman. It pioneered the enjoyable free-flow fighting that would later inspire a slew of subsequent games. Apart from the iconic fighting, it focused heavily on Batman's investigative talents, with parts requiring you to collect clues and solve puzzles.

The level design is one of the reasons this game works so well. It's a little, enclosed universe that never feels too large or overwhelming. It also amps up the Metroidvania features by allowing you to access additional locations after unlocking specific items.

Its stealth gameplay, storyline, presentation, and pacing are all superbly executed, making it one of the best batman games ever. It was rated as the best batman game (PC) for good reason!

Because some of the games are prequels to others, it might be confusing for novices. So, here's a rundown of the Batman Arkham games in order:

  • Batman: Arkham Origins
  • Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate
  • Batman: Arkham Asylum
  • Batman: Arkham City
  • Batman: Arkham VR
  • Batman: Arkham Knight
  • Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League
